Permanent mouse elimination requires three things working together: sealing every entry point larger than a dime, removing food and harborage sources, and running a kill bait like RatX continuously until feeding activity stops for at least two consecutive weeks.

No single product eliminates mice permanently on its own — exclusion without bait leaves survivors already inside, and bait without exclusion replaces every mouse you kill with new ones from outside. RatX pellets address the inside population through a multi-feed dehydration mechanism: corn gluten and sodium chloride coat the gut lining, blocking thirst signals to the brain over 3–5 days. Pair that with steel wool and caulk at foundation gaps, pipe penetrations, and utility entries to stop reinfestation at the source.

  • RatX lethal dose per mouse: 10–15 grams (⅓–½ oz), consumed across multiple feedings over 3–5 days.
  • Mice can enter through gaps as small as ¼ inch — roughly the diameter of a pencil eraser.
  • RatX active ingredients are corn gluten and sodium chloride; EPA minimum risk classified under FIFRA Section 25(b).
  • Post-death desiccation from sodium chloride reduces mouse carcass odor by up to 90%.
  • Bait stations should be refreshed when pellet volume drops below half-full to maintain continuous access.
